A clinic catering to Cayman’s younger patients has relaunched with a new look and a new name.
Dr. Gordon Smith and fellow medical staff have rebranded their practice on Smith Road as The Children’s Clinic, Cayman.
“We are extremely excited to be launching The Children’s Clinic, Cayman,” Dr. Smith said. “Although we also provide general practice services for patients, our focus has always been primarily on providing ongoing comprehensive care of children and we believe our rebrand enhances and reinforces that objective.”
Dr. Smith established his first practice in Grand Cayman in 1992, focusing mainly on neonatology/paediatrics, as well as general practice and dive medicine.
Ten years ago he moved his practice into the current purpose-built facility on Smith Road, where he practises with Dr. Sarah Newton, a paediatrician who has worked with him since February 2009.
Another paediatrician, Dr. Christine Chen, joined the practice this year, bringing the team to its full complement of three doctors; two nursing staff, Rebekah Brooks and Jane Robinson; and three non-clinical support staff, Janelle Williams-Gallippi, Jean Crossan and Amy Smith.
The practice has also just launched a new website: www.thechildrensclinic.ky, which provides visitors with information on the clinic, as well as regular updates and bulletins on the latest practices and medicines within the field of paediatrics.
“At The Children’s Clinic, Cayman we encourage long-term personal relationships between families and our paediatricians so that we become familiar with our patients.
“This enables us to quickly diagnose illness and promote childhood wellness, a core part of our mission. Our rebrand and new website will help new patients and their families, as well as old, understand exactly what we are all about – the care of children,” said Dr. Newton.
